Will definitely order it again, I have a lot of hair so I used a large amount but it gave me great volume and good waves. It definitely dries your hair and ends out but isn’t crunchy. Just super dry. I just used a deep conditioner after.

BEST HAIR PRODUCTS I have ever used. Hands down!!! I am a hair product junkie, always in search for the holy grail. Well I can happily say, my search is over. I have found my hair care system for life. I naturally have fine frizzy wavy curly hair, but I also like to straighten it. I have never loved my curls, until Montauk. I first bought the ocean hair and the wave tamer and immediately fell in love. The ocean hair gave me definition without the crunch or overly textured feel. It also didn't weigh down my hair. The wave tamer just smoothed out any and all frizz. And you only need a tiny amount of each. I immediately decided to buy the shampoo and conditioner and the sunset finish hair oil. And I instantly knew this system was something special. My hair has never felt this soft before. My hair is fine and frizzy, and now it is soft and smooth, and never heavy or greasy. I am obsessed. I also learned I could use the wave tamer as a leave in conditioner (small amount) before blowing drying my hair straight and it gives me two day humidity control. So even my straight hair is soft and smooth with zero frizz. See photos, that was after a super humid day with heavy rain and downpours. Which would have normally been an absolute nightmare of a hair day. Not no more. I honestly can't say enough about ALL these products. Not only do they work amazingly, they all smell phenomenal. The wave tamer smells like beach, think coconut and sunscreen (the good kind). The sunset finish hair oil smells like rich people on a yacht. Or at least how I imagine rich people on a yacht smelling like. lol. Anyways, just buy the whole set at once, you will not regret it. I’ve always air dried my hair and now that it’s natural silver I definitely don’t wanna put any heat on it but nothing makes it look as good as salt water. This is completely air dried with a dime sized bit (can add more for more control but I love it a little crazy). This stuff makes my hair wash days even easier.

I've bought a lot of products, gels, curl cream, sprays, that didn't work half as well as the combination of Montauk's Ocean Texture & Anti-frizz Wave Tamer. I use a pea and half size of each at the same time, emulsifying it in my hands before putting it on freshly washed (not dripping) hair. I comb thru, root clip, and don't touch it. It clumps automatically, air dries, and voila! Waves for days!

I learned about Montauk Hair Co.'s Ocean Hair from Instagram. I've been disappointed by sea salt sprays in the past, but I do love how the ocean makes my hair look. I'm also a former resident of the East End of Long Island, so the name of the company caught my attention. I've only been using the product for a couple of days, but I like how it works and keeps my hairstyle in place for the entire day without being hard or flaky. One thing to note, though, is that the product was more liquid than I had expected. It comes out pretty quickly from the tube. So be careful when you first squeeze it out so you don't get too much in your hand.

just used this for the first time and i looove the texture it gives my hair. it gave my hair nice waves with a slight crunchy texture when air dried but that went away after finger combing. love the mini size to try before getting the larger tube!

This photo was taken at the end of a busy day which started at 3 am. No touch ups throughout the day. I didn’t use the texture cream this day, but did use the wave tamer after I curled my hair and WOW, this stuff is amazing! It softened and defined my curls AND provided light hold. I finally tried the trial size and love it! There is minimal scent, and it does not weigh hair down or make it crunchy to the feel. I'll be experimenting with how much my shoulder length hair actually needs, but for my first try, I'd say it was about the size of a quarter. Thank you!

Didn’t use it *quite* as the directions indicated, but I used about a quarter-sized blob, and pressed/rubbed it into my towel-dried hair last night (hair between hands, rubbing back and forth in sections), and then wrapped my hair up in a t-shirt and slept with it that way. This is what it looked like when I took it out of the t-shirt this morning, with a little upside down fluffing. Excellent product! Hoping it stays nice for a few days since I only wash twice a week.

I have tried many sea salt beach texturizing products. Hands down this is my favorite! It leaves my hair with soft textured beachy waves! No residue and no sticky tack. The next day my hair still has volume! I would definitely recommend if you like the effortless look! For reference, I have thick, semi wavy hair, with layers.

The product adds fullness and thickness to my fine hair. I love to air dry my hair, and this does not make it "crunchy." And when I use it and blow it dry, it adds volume. I am still experimenting.
